Afraid of the water
My baby, don’t cry
It’s a natural fear
The shadows appear
And your feet are dangling over
Now I’m building a boat
Just your size
There’s no room for me
But look over and see
Me waving from the shore
Saying, you can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
I know it’s hard to believe
Frightened of monsters
Well, darling, so am I
We both know they’re real
Hungry for the next meal
Clawing at the door
So I’m drawing a circle
Around the bed
Make up a rhyme
Say it three times
Pull the blanket up to your chin
Saying, you can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
I know it’s hard to believe
Trying to grow a garden
But the ground is so hard
It threatens to break
Surely it’s a mistake
To plant such precious seeds
So I’ll remove all the stones
Rearrange them one by one
Build you a room
Where you can bloom
Roses growing through the floor
Saying, you can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
You can go anywhere
